Showdown Walk Hits Akyem Oda As Friends Of Ken Cautions NPP Delegates

The Friends of Kennedy Agyapong in Akyem Oda, in the Eastern region, organized a large-scale turnout showdown walk down in the principal street of Akyem Oda, capital of Birim Central Municipality, On Saturday, October 21, 2023.

At the health walk, the ruling New Patriotic Party’s delegates were urged to choose Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, to be their flagbearer prior to the general election of 2024.

The exercise participants assert that Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyepong is the only candidate capable of keeping the party from going to the opposition.

The convener for the Akyem Oda showdown walk, which is the first of its kind at the constituency level, Kofi Asiedu, popularly called the “righteous man,” emphasized that Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyepong is a selfless and business-minded individual, he ought to be elected president in order to stimulate the development of the nation.

He thus cautioned the NPP delegates against voting against him (Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyepong), saying that doing so would prevent them from breaking the eight, which has been their main objective for the 2024 election.

He continued that the majority of Ghanaians have lost faith in the current government administration and the NPP party needs to realize that.

At this point, he says, the party needs Kennedy Agyepong, who isn’t actively part of Nana Addo’s administration, to persuade Ghanaians to retain the party’s power.

Ken’s backers and other members gave their justifications for wanting him to be elected NPP leader and break the eight.
