South Africa Sent You On A “Fool’s Errand” – GFA To FIFA

Spread the love

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has called on FIFA to dismiss South Africa’s match-fixing protest because their allegations are baseless.

The world football governing body, FIFA, has confirmed that it has received a complaint from SAFA over their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana, which they lost 1-0.

“FIFA has received a complaint from the South African FA in relation to this matter and will review it. Please understand we cannot comment further at this stage,” FIFA said in response to the media.

Officially responding to the protest, the Ghana FA said South Africa must rather be punished for “bringing the brand of the World Cup and Ghana’s senior team into disrepute”.

The GFA argued that South Africa sent “the respected FIFA Disciplinary Committee on a fool’s errand or fishing” by only making allegations without claims by their initial protest letter to FIFA, and requests that the latter be punished “severely”.
