As the leader of Movement for Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, forms an alliance with Abu Sakara Forster ahead of the upcoming 2024 election, he has extended an invitation to his former political party.
The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was invited by the Movement for Change to an event on April 12, 2024, which will mark the formation of the Alliance For Revolutionary Change, a strategic alliance.
An invitation to the New Patriotic Party leadership was included in the letter.
The National Interest Movement, led by Abu Sakara Forster, and the Movement for Change, under the leadership of Alan Kyerematen, have formed the Alliance for Revolutionary Change.
Others include lesser-known political parties, women groups, and other persons of different religious and ethnic affiliations.
This alliance is expected to cause a change in the political space in Ghana and ensure that the winner-takes-all mentality that has characterized the country’s democracy becomes a thing of the past.
Meanwhile; the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) leadership has been advised not to attend the Alliance for Revolutionary Change launch by some party members and supporters.
Former Minister for Trade and Industry and the former Presidential Candidate hopeful of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Alan Kyerematen in a shocking turn of events resigned from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on September 25, 2023.
His resignation came as a surprise to many as he recently emerged third in the party’s super delegates conference organised on August 26 for its presidential hopefuls.
