The information available to MyNewsGh.com indicates that a rider and a pillion rider have died after their motor crushed into a van.

The accident is said to have occurred in front of the Bolgatanga Municipal Education office on the Bolgatanga-Navrongo road.

Narrating the incident to the press, the driver of the van who escaped death narrowly indicated that he was transporting drinks to Fumbisi in the Builsa South District but when he got to the Municipal Education Office, the motorbike rider who was also coming from the opposite direction attempted to overtake a tricycle otherwise called ‘Mahama Can Do’, but hit the rear of the tricycle and lost control.

The pillion rider fell off the motor after the motor hit the ‘Mahama Can Do’ and was passed over by the van while the motor rider then veered into the lane of the van and went under it causing him, the motor, and the van to catch fire.

Eyewitnesses are said to have corroborated the story of the driver blaming the dead motor rider for the accident which has rid him off his and another persons life.

Meanwhile, personnel of the Ghana Fire Service moved in swiftly to douse the fire.
