Reports Information reaching Myghanamedia.com newsroom from Bolgatanga Municipality in the Upper East Region indicate that there is a new outbreak of coronavirus infections in the area.
According to the report 35 new cases of the coronavirus has been recorded at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.
Out of that number, two(2) have been treated and discharged leaving the rest in isolation.
In the last update on the covid-19 cases by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Ghana’s active COVID-19 cases soared to 1,011.
The country has also recorded 116 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 53,386.
According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), the total number of recoveries or discharges as of December 12 was 52,048.
Meanwhile, the total number of deaths remains 327.
The GHS last Thursday said it anticipates an increase in COVID-19 infections during the festive season and as a result of post-election activities.
