We Cannot Destroy Our Shrine For Mining Purpose – Chief of Bibiani

Spread the love

The Chief of Bibiani in the Western North Region of Ghana, Nana Ngoah Anyimah Kodom II has vowed not to destroy the shrine of his forefathers at Bibiani for mining purpose.

Speaking during this Awukudae when he visited the shrine for pacification, he made it clear that, the shrine was built by his forefathers and all his predecessors did not temper with it and he will not be the one to do so.

He explained further that, the shrine is the head of Bibiani community and can never be changed for anything no matter how valuable that item is, so those thinking the shrine will be destroyed for mining purpose should awake from their sleep because the mining will rather ceased than to exhumed the shrine.

He mentioned also that, because there wasn’t proper caring for the shrine sometimes ago, the gods also left the community to battle on their own but he is now coming to take care of the gods and the shrine so they should accept his apologies for that period of rejection and connect back to the community.

He stressed being a Christian and also taking care of the traditional values of our forefathers which is not a sin so we should respect our cultural values together with the Christina values.
