In a recent media engagement, Bright Botchway, the National Deputy Director of the Traders and Artisans Network for the NDC, emphasized the urgency of continued hard work and vigilance among the grassroots of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
When asked about the NDC’s chances in the 2024 election and the party’s plans for artisans in the morning show interview today with Kojo Bediako host, Botchway highlighted the dangers of complacency and stressed the need for focused efforts to secure victory.
Botchway’s message was clear: “We have not won the 2024 election yet; more work needs to be done.” He cautioned against unnecessary complacency and funfair, urging party members to prioritize action over celebration. “No need for funfair groups,” he stated. “Work and win your branch.”
He discussed the NDC’s commitment to establishing a National Entrepreneurship Authority, which will primarily focus on traders and artisans. “No youth will learn a handy work and pay anything,” Botchway assured. This initiative aims to provide essential support and resources to help young people develop practical skills without financial burden. Additionally, traders will receive support for their startup businesses, and women will benefit from the Women’s Bank.
Botchway stressed the importance of preaching the 24-hour economy and other key policies that the NDC plans to implement. These initiatives are designed to transform the economic landscape and improve the lives of all Ghanaians. By focusing on these policies, the party can present a compelling vision for the future that resonates with voters.
He also reassured the grassroots that their efforts will not go unnoticed or unrewarded. “Some of us will lead the fight for what belongs to those I have worked with,” Botchway promised. This commitment to the people who have dedicated themselves to the NDC’s cause is a testament to the party’s dedication to its members and supporters.
Botchway encouraged everyone not to lose hope, emphasizing that John Dramani Mahama’s return marks a new chapter for the party and the country. “Never lose hope. John Dramani Mahama is back to reset the country and build the party once again,” he declared. He assured members that this time, the NDC will be more attractive and better positioned to lead Ghana into a prosperous future.
As the NDC continues to prepare for the 2024 elections, Botchway’s call to action serves as a reminder that victory requires relentless effort and unwavering commitment. With a renewed focus on policy and grassroots engagement, the party aims to build a stronger, more united front capable of achieving its goals.
