 “We Shall Soon Spit Bloody Saliva On Our MCE” – Traditional Council of Abuakwa-Apemhaase.

Traditional Council of Abuakwa-Apemhaase in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency of the Ashanti Region have seriously vowed to embark on a demonstration against the authorities of their municipal assembly over abandoned broken bridge.

 

According to them, they have made all efforts by engaging past and present chief executives of the assembly to have their bridge constructed but their efforts seems futile.

Speaking with the media, the Abuakwa-Apemhaase Gyaasehene, Nana Okyere Sefa, stated that the broken bridge has made live unbearable for them leading to series of attacks from thieves and robbers in the evening.

 

“Robbers always attack us in the evening and at dawn just behind the bridge because cars have to drop us when it gets to the bridge because they can’t cross. And it has really pose danger on us and puts fears in us.” Nana Sefa added.

Some of the residents also added that they don’t even know if they have wronged the MCE, Hon. Michael Amoah Awuku or their M.P, Hon. Emmanuel Adjei Anhwere, since they are not showing concerns to their (residents) plights.

 

According to them, robbers have taken the opportunity to attack residents on the broken bridge at dawn and in the evening which they have made several complains to the municipal assembly authorities but to no avail.

 

All that we are saying is that we don’t want Nana Addo to retain the M.C.E Hon. Michael Amoah Awuku, because he ignored us during his first term in office .” They said.
