Speaking to Myghanamedia.com , Mrs Abigail Fowaa, mother of the missing girl said “My daughter left home on Monday and has since not return.”

A close friend of Abigail whom she contacted before leaving home had this to say, “She left home around 5am to visit her friend called “Maa Adwoa” and we have not seen her since that day.”

According to the missing girl’s mother, information to locate her daughter has remained scanty since her daughter did not disclose to them where her friend stays. This has made things difficult in searching for her.

All efforts to reach her on phone has also proved futile and by 3:00 pm on the same day, her phone went off after series of calls to reach her.

Mercy Benewaa is a Junior High School (JHS) 2 student of the King’s International School in Atwima Kofroridua and lives with her father and stepmother.

Mrs Abigail Fowaa is, therefore, pleading with the general public and anyone with information about his missing daughter to contact her on the following numbers 0247416114 or 0543871609.

The incident has since been reported to the police.
