2024 Polls: Breman Chief Endorses Mahama

Baffour Kotei Kutin Sraman, the Chief of Breman in Kumasi, has firmly supported President John Dramani Mahama’s candidacy for the forthcoming election on December 7.

He said the President has done a great job during his first time in office, ensuring a high standard of infrastructure development nationwide, particularly in Breman and the surrounding areas.

The Chief faced criticism from some members of the public for his initial 2016 prediction of President Mahama’s landslide victory.

He was denounced for engaging in party politics, which is against the constitution of the country.

Speaking to a gathering on Tuesday during President Mahama’s regional tour in the Ashanti Region, Baffour Kotei Kutin Sraman refuted claims that he is engaging in politics, stating that he is only being truthful and praising the former President for his accomplishments.

“I’ll say it again now: President Mahama is a gift from God to Ghana; he hasn’t finished the work that God has given him, but while he’s at it, there’s no reason to alter. So that he can carry on with his good deeds, let’s pray to God for a long life and good health. My sisters and brothers, take what I just said careful thought”.

He added, “Look at how he’s developed the country, the roads, and flyovers, in Accra and even here…Sofoline interchange if you talk about it, critics claim funds were secured for the projects before he came to power. Let me tell you, there were no funds anywhere for him to work with. Asantehene has cautioned us not to do party politics, but all we want from any government is development, and we are saying it now under John Mahama so we need to support him. We declare today that we fully support President Mahama for the coming elections. Victory will certainly be his.”
