he information technology specialist of the Electoral Commission (EC) in Walewale Akopia Wisdom in the West Mamprusi Municipal of the North East Region has been shot by suspected armed robbers on Friday around 10pm.
He is currently receiving medical attention at the Walewale District Hospital.
Wisdom, 29, was attacked on his way home as the suspected robbers attempted to snatch his motorbike. They subsequently shot him in the thigh and fled.
The police said they are investigating the incident.
