Ghana’s Group C opponents Comoros Islands have become the final team to take one of the four slots for best third-placed sides for the Round of 16 of the ongoing African Cup of Nations.

This was after Ivory Coast thrashed defending champions Algeria 3-1 in the final group E game played on Thursday at the Japoma Stadium in Douala, Cameroon.

Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign came to a humiliating end on Tuesday as they were beaten 3-2 by debutants Comoros Islands at Garoua’s Roumde Adjia Stadium to finish bottom of Group C with just a single point.
