B/R: Residents, Drivers Cry Over Deplorable Road Network

Residents and motorists at Jankufa in the Jaman North of the Bono Region have called on government to fix their bad roads with immediate effect.

Although the government declared last year as the year of roads, they are yet to enjoy their share of the national cake, “they said”

Expressing their displeasure on the poor road network, drivers and residents who spoke to Konfanko Media described the bad nature of the roads as ‘streams on dams’ especially during the raining season which makes movement difficult especially at night.

Drivers who used the road daily added that “we have to always visit the mechanic anytime we use the road because of our vehicles always breakdown and as a result, we sometimes do not want to use the road at all.”

Meanwhile, the Sumanman Abusuapanin, Nana Nketia Kwabena complained bitterly over  deplorable state of their School, poor nature of their toilet and road., adding that, they are suffering from dusty and cold.

However, the Chief of Jankufa Nana Arko Tuffuor II further appealed to the Government and Department of Urban Roads (DUR) to improve the dilapidated road network in the area which has over the years impacted their businesses negatively.
