The Medical Team Member of the ruling New Patriotic Party in Ashanti Region and Patron of NPP Crusaders and a native of Atwima-Manhyia in the Atwima Nwabiahya South Constituency,  John Kwame Duodu (Sir John), has urged Ghanaians to rally behind Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo’s administration as it plans to introduce fresh measures to help the economy weather the storm.

He claims that external influences are to blame for the current issues, which are impossible to overcome as a country.

“We’re in a tough situation due to COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine conflict,” he said.

Whether you like it or not, these things have a bad effect on countries.

As fuel and other key commodities have their prices rising today, I ask Ghanaians to be aware of the situation and to support the government as it implements new policies to address our problems, ” he added.

He told Ahenkan FM, myghanamedia.com, and the other press in an exclusive interview that they should also communicate the government’s positive aspects so that Ghanaians may appreciate the existing scenario.

He also slammed the opposition NDC for making it seem as if they could have done anything better in the current situation if they were in power, despite their dismal track record in economic management, which will not be forgotten anytime soon.

Ghana’s economy had gone aground under the NDC, “he said.”

He described the mood during Mahama’s administration as one of hopelessness.

He fumed that they couldn’t even hire teachers and nurses during their time without Covid.
