Boateng Henry Blessing, a BECE graduate who hails from the Afigya Kwabre North constituency has been teased by the vice president of Ghana, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia .

In a recent one-on-one questions and answers series with the vice president, one student by name Boateng Blessing asked a critical question about employment. He asked the vice president that their parents always encourage them to offer Science as the programme of study at the SHS level because such programme has more job opportunities.

“I just wanted to ask that in Ghana, the job opportunities are limited and when you get to SHS, the only course our parent force us or encourage us to do is Science. Because it is said that science has a lot of job opportunities. So please is there any course that can yield us jobs when we are done with our studies” he asked.

Dr. Bawumia teased the student in laughter by stating that the boy is already thinking about of job opportunities after BECE. Right after making this statement, everyone in the room had a cheerful laugh.

However Dr. Bawumia revealed that student’s question is a very good one and he responded to it as well.
