Security Expect, Saani Adib has revealed that Ghana’s 352 unresolved internal conflict puts the country at risk due to the rise in terrorism attack in its neighboring countries.
In recent times a report from West African Center for Counter Extremism (WACCE) examined Ghana’s exposure to violent and terrorism attack indicating that the country is at a risk due to its proximity to countries such as Togo, Burkina Faso, Benin and Ivory Coast.
In an interview on Movement in the Morning Political Show, Saani Adib said “Ghana is prone to terror attack due it Chieftaincy disputes and tribal conflict. According to Chieftaincy Ministry there are 352 unresolved Chieftaincy disputes in Ghana, almost every paramount has a pending unresolved issue’’.
‘’Where there is instability in the country terrorists take advantage. The possibility of they taking control of the tribal issues and conflict in Ghana is high. We have to make conscious attempts in dealing with our internal conflict’’, he added.
He indicated that terrorists are very particular about Countries that have close connection with the International community and looking at Ghana’s relationship with countries such as US, the country is in jeopardy if strict measures are not taken.
