French Ambassador: Ghana Deserve To Win World Cup

Spread the love

French Ambassador to Ghana,  Anne-Sophie Ave has tipped Ghana’s senior national men’s football team, the Black Stars, to win the yet-to-be-played FIFA World Cup.

Though not a football fan, the diplomat says Ghana deserves to win the world cup because they have come closer to the trophy more than once.

On the count of choosing Ghana over the French national team, Madam Anne-Sophie said both teams have drawn in many matches so it will be difficult to choose her favourite.

The Black Stars made their debut at the world cup in 2006 and has played in two tournaments – 2010 and 2014 – since then.

The team missed out in 2018 but makes a return after qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
