Former Minister of Trade and Industry , Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has thanked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for “graciously” accepting his resignation.
Mr Kyerematen resigned from the government in a letter on Thursday, January 5 and same was accepted by President Akufo-Addo on Friday, January 6.
He was consequently replaced by Kenneth Ofori-Atta, the Finance Minister, who is to act as caretaker minister.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, January 7, Mr Kyerematen said he will be addressing Ghanaians in the next few days on his next line of action though many have predicted his resignation is to focus on his presidential ambitions.
I sincerely appreciate the support from my family, colleagues, my party the NPP, the international community, and the general public during my tenure as a Minister.
I will be addressing the Ghanaian people in the next few days.
God bless! 2/2
