Asante Kotoko failed to win at home for the second consecutive time as they drew 1-1 with Bibiani Gold Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in the 30th round of matches in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupines had previously given away an early lead in their recent encounter which ended in a stalemate against Tamale City and had aimed to redeem themselves against the Miners while they keep their title hopes alive.
Having been kept on the sidelines due to injury, Solomon Safo-Taylor only returned against Tamale City but produced a standout performance on Sunday by striking in the fifth minute to give the Porcupines the lead.
However, Abednego Tetteh rose above his marker to smash home a cross from Prince Owusu who swung in a great pass after taking on his opponent in stoppage time.
Kotoko are still sixth on the table while Bibiani Gold Stars remain seventh.
