The New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate in the Just ended Assin North By-election on 27th June, Charles Opoku has embarked on a thank you tour in the Constituency despite loosing the seat to the embattled Canadian Burger James Gyakye Quason.
The recent By-election was one of the most talked about Political activities in Ghana due to the circumstances surrounding it.
The defeated Candidate, Mr. Charles Opoku today (Sunday) visited several churches in the Constituency to thank God and the people for their support.
According to him, the Bible teaches us to give thanks to the Almighty God regardless of the situation we found ourselves in.
Speaking at various churches, he debunked the orchestrated propaganda by the NDC’s that, he and the NPP are collecting some items they supported various communities with after loosing the election.
He stated emphatically that neither him nor any other NPP member would retrieve anything they supported a Community with. He charged the congregants to disregard and treat such rumors as lies and propaganda from the desperate NDC party.
Pastor Emmanuel Quianoo of Assembly of God Church at Kushea Assembly told Charles Opoku that, he has fought well and will definitely emerge victorious in 2024 elections.
