Prior to the delegate conference on November 4, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) held balloting for its flagbearer hopefuls.
Kennedy Agyapong chose the top position at the conclusion of the balloting which took place in Accra on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia picked the second position.
In an interview following the balloting, Kennedy Agyapong exhorted the delegates to avoid being intimidated or influenced by money ahead of the November 4 elections.
He bemoans the fact that God has chosen him to be the NPP’s presidential candidate.
“If you believe the Bible, Ken is number one, which is a clear indication that I should lead Ghana”
He said that the signs are plainly visible on the wall and that he is asking the delegates to support him.
He has faith that the delegates will vote for him on November 4th.
He concludes by advising those who want to use force and incite violence on November 4th that the party needs to come together if we want to succeed by breaking the 8.
