The Member of Parliament for Ellembelle Constituency, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, was engaged in a near fight with the District Chief Executive, Kwasi Bonzo, over a deplorable road in the area.
It is unclear what might have triggered the exchange of words but a video of the incident sees the MP and the DCE confronting each other.
They used unprintable language, initially in English, until they changed their tongue to their local dialect.
According to some eyewitnesses, the MP had tasked a group of people to fill the potholes on the deplorable road.
However, the DCE came to stop them because he claimed the road has been given on contract and work is ongoing.
“I bring people to come and fix the road and then you have a problem,” the MP, who is also the Deputy Minority Leader, is heard in the video saying.
Mr Bonzo responded: “The road is under contract. It is cheap politics.”
