Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency, Josephine Hilda Addo, has declared her support for Alan Kyerematen despite his resignation from the party.
Speaking in an interview with Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin on the GhanAkoma morning show on Akoma FM 87.9 MHz in Kumasi, Madam Addo insisted that Alan is the best man to lead the country now.
She believed that the NPP would feel the pain of Alan’s absence and would know the metrics Alan is made of.
“Though I am a member of the NPP, I will do an open campaign for Alan,” she said.
According to her, the time has come for all of them to come together and build the country for effective development.
The former Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen, in a shocking turn of events, resigned from the party on Monday, September 25.
His resignation came as a shock to many, as he recently emerged third in the NPP Super Delegates Conference held on Saturday, August 26.
The former NPP MP for Kwadaso blamed the leadership of the party for the exit of Alan.
She asserted that the teeming grassroots preferred Alan to lead the party in the 2024 polls.
Madam Hilda Addo is of the view that the party has been making dangerous mistakes, and one of them has resulted in the resignation of Alan.
“I don’t care if the leadership of the party expels me from the party.”
