Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has promised to honour the summons by the Manhyia Palace on Monday January 29.
The lawyer was summoned on Monday, 22 January 2024, following his earlier outburst which sought to denigrate some chiefs in the Ashanti region.
In addition, he has retracting and unreservedly apologized to the Ashanti Region’s chiefs for his disparaging comments aired on Wontumi radio in Kumasi.
In an interview on Asempa FM in Accra, lawyer Maurice Ampaw begged for pardon.

The embattled lawyer was summoned on Monday, January 22, following his earlier outburst which sought to denigrate some chiefs in the Ashanti region.
Mr. Ampaw, during the deliberation was also invited for a derogatory remarks passed on some chiefs which video has since gone viral on social media.
“Some chiefs in the Ashanti region are corrupt,” part of his statement as captured in the video read.
