Some residents of Nerebehi are currently living with a situation which could be best described as an epidemic waiting to happen.

Illegal miners are reported to have mined the community cemetery at Nerebehi in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Assembly of the Ashanti Region in an overnight operation.

In a fervent press conference held on April 10th, 2024, Nana Tima Agyeku II, the esteemed Queenmother of Nerebehi in the Atwima Nwabiagya South of the Ashanti Region, vehemently refuted allegations suggesting her involvement, along with Bantamahene, Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, in the illicit sale of cemetery land to illegal miners, known as galamseyers.

With conviction and determination, Nana Tima Agyeku II dispelled these rumors, asserting that there is absolutely no truth to the recent speculations.
