The Minister Designate for Information, Fatimatu Abubakar, has stated that the government’s performance tracker will undergo regular updates to ensure its accuracy.

The performance tracker’s present date, in her opinion, may not be current, and it will undergo regular adjustments.

Additionally, she stated that since the performance tracker is an online tool, you are invited to visit the communities to double-check the accuracy of the data if you are unsure.

” If because it is a digital platform you are not so sure, and would like to visit the communities, you are welcome”

She went on to say that because citizen input will help to improve the initiative, the government is even more interested in getting feedback from Ghanaians.

According to Madam Fatimatu Abubakar, the government’s performance tracker contains data from 2017 to June 2023. As a result, the feedback would assist them in obtaining accurate data for the statistics.

She explained that the tracker would provide Ghanaians with a platform to access real-time information on government projects for monitoring and evaluation.

She emphasized that the data on the tracker represents the power Ghanaians have.

The Minister-Designate for Information further stated that the tracker will address longstanding concerns about the accuracy and reliability of project presentations, especially the use of artist’s impressions to depict outcomes.

Meanwhile; the Government has disclosed that 67 entries were wrongly included in the government’s performance tracker after 48 hours of launching the Tracker

In a facebook post, the government also expressed joy with the level of citizen’s interest in the tracker.

“Following the successful launch of the Performance Tracker, the Government expresses gratitude for the remarkable interest and scrutiny from citizens.

“This level of engagement demonstrates the public’s commitment to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the information provided.

“Within 48 hours following the launch, our attention has been drawn to 67 entries which were erroneously included,”

The Performance Tracker platform is designed to give Ghanaian citizens easy access to valuable information on the performance of the government of Ghana since 2017.

The achievement of the government’s records come from 30 ministries, organized to show projects undertaken by the government; as well as data on the outcome, impact, and beneficiaries of government interventions, enabling users to assess the effectiveness of these interventions.

The government believes showcasing the achievements can enhance transparency and accountability and build public trust in the government’s ability to deliver on its promises.
