Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who continues to insist on leading the nation as president while claiming to be President Akufo-Addo’s mate, has taken a verbal beating from the opposition National Democratic Congress Constituency Chairperson for Ashaiman.
The vice president and flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamoud Bawumia, appears humorous but serious as he asks Ghanaians to give him the steer to drive the country because he has his own vision.
Dr. Bawumia says he is a mate serving as vice president in the Akufo-Addo administration, and he wants to become the driver (President) in order to carry out his vision for the nation.
He was subjected to a great deal of criticism and abuse from internet users who called him a joker when his pictures and videos appeared on social media.
Hon. Shaddah Omar Jallo, the opposition National Democratic Congress Constituency chairperson for Ashaiman, has joined the chorus of people denouncing and ridiculing Dr. Bawumia for his reckless remark that he should be given the reins of power as the country’s next president.
He described Dr. Bawumia as a comedian and a joker who has reduced the image and integrity of the vice president position to disrepute.
He said that “looking at how the NPP government is led by the driver banzer president Akufo-Addo and his braggart’s mate, Dr. Bawumia, it will be an unforgiving sin for Ghanaians to vote for the NPP. Looking at how they have destroyed the economy and made the cost of living so high to create more hardship in the system, he will be surprised if Ghanaians will still vote for the NPP government”.
He believed that there is no way Ghanaians will give the NPP government another opportunity to rule them because they didn’t have anything better to offer them.
