According to Hon. Samuel Pyne, Mayor of Kumasi, the collaboration is crucial for rapid development, as both cities share a vision of promoting socio-economic development for their inhabitants.

Hon. Francisco Carvalho, Mayor of Praia, emphasized the importance of taking practical steps to make the sister city relations mutually beneficial and impactful.

He expressed optimism that the collaboration will yield significant benefits for both cities in the future.

The signing ceremony was also attended by international dignitaries, including H.E Mrs. Paqui Momparler, President of Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta (MANRA); Mr. Francis Dwira-Darko, Metro Coordinating Director of KMA; Nadir Delgado, Local Project Coordinator of HORESD, Praia; Mr. Joshua Tetteh-Nortey, Local Project Coordinator of HORESD, Kumasi; Mr. Victor Rey, Communication Manager of MANRA; and Mr. Helder Moriera, International Project Coordinator of HORESD.
