Wassa Amenfi East MP Tackles Akropong Town Roads With Bitumen

The upgrading and reshaping of Wassa Akropong Town roads with bitumen has commenced courtesy, Hon. Nicholas Amankwah, Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East constituency of the Western Region.

 

The first-term opposition MP has awarded the project to local contractors to embark on the upgrading and reshaping works on Akropong Town roads.

 

Whiles commending steadily progress and quality of work done so far, the lawmaker expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the contractors for the urgent responds to his call.

 

 

The Amenfi East MP, who is affectionately called Home Boy, revealed that tackling the town roads will boost commercial activities and transform lives in the constituency.

 

He noted that commercial drivers, traders, among others would experience growth in their businesses.

 

The MP who’s the NDC 2024 parliamentary candidate for Amenfi East said his assessment of the deteriorated nature of Wassa Akropong town roads and the negative impact on vehicles, motorbikes, and pedestrians informed his decision to explore temporal solution, thus to upgrade the roads.

 

Hon. Nicholas Amankwah has however charged the contractors to ensure timely completion of work for stress free transportation.

 

The NDC PC says, the move adds to the many road-reshaping initiatives he has undertaken in some areas within the Wassa Amenfi East constituency aimed at providing the much needed relief to commuters.

 

Hon. Nicholas Amankwah served as the District Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East under former President John Mahama’s administration in 2016.

 

During his short term administration as the DCE for a period of six months, several road projects were carried out within Wassa Akropong and its environs.

 

Sadly, most of the roads have started developing potholes thus, making transportation difficult.

 

But the NDC legislator, Nicholas Amankwa has jumped to the rescue of road users in the municipal capital from the continuous struggling and thirst for better road network.
