Dr. Agnes Ayisha, founder and leader of Liberation National Youth for Change (LNYC), addressed the media to clarify reports surrounding her nomination filing for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Contrary to earlier publications by Joynews and Ghanaweb, the independent presidential candidate, Dr. Ayisha confirmed she successfully submitted her nomination forms to the Electoral Commission, dispelling rumors of missed deadlines.
Labeling the initial reports as “deceitful and lacking facts,” Dr. Ayisha urged the public to rely on credible sources for information.
Dr. Ayisha outlined her comprehensive vision for Ghana if elected as the president of the republic, promising:
Job creation for youth: She promises to create more jobs within her first term through vocational training, entrepreneurship hubs, and public-private partnerships, focusing on agriculture, technology, and renewable energy sectors.
Solar energy prioritization: Dr. Ayisha pledges to reduce electricity bills by investing in solar infrastructure.
Zero-tolerance corruption policy: She vows to implement zero-tolerance corruption policy in order to strengthen anti-corruption institutions, enforce asset declarations for public officials, and prosecute corruption cases without bias.
Dr. Ayisha disclosed that in her tenure as the president of Ghana, she will transform the education sector to ensure every Ghanaian certificate is recognized globally.
Modernized healthcare systems: she unequivocally stated that she will champion the modernization of healthcare across the board in order to deliver timely, efficient, and effective health solutions to the citizenry.
Economic growth: In order to lower the cost of living, Dr. Ayisha desires to introduce progressive taxation, raise the minimum wage, decrease inflation, accelerate GDP growth, and improve social safety nets.
Dr. Ayisha aims to elevate Ghana to unprecedented heights, rivaling Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s legacy.
I’m committed to unlocking Ghana’s potential,” Dr. Ayisha emphasized.
