A tragic accident has claimed the life of one military officer from the 11 Mechanised Battalion in Bawku, while five others are in critical condition.
The incident occurred around Binduri in the Upper East Region.
According to eyewitness accounts, the military vehicle, with registration number 15 GA 04, was traveling from Bawku towards Bazua when it abruptly veered off the road and somersaulted multiple times.
The violent crash resulted in the immediate death of one officer, while five others sustained severe injuries.
The injured officers were quickly transported to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital and the Tamale Teaching Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
