It was a tremendous moment to glance on the premises of Ghana Enterprises Agency , on Friday 7th March 2025, prior to the World women day recognition.
The newly Cheif Executive Officer, Honourable Margaret Ansei, affectionately called Magoo. Had the opportunity to welcome all other national institutions CEO’s, Directors, members of Parliament, council of State members, Regional ministers, development partners, physically challenged, women entrepreneurs , among other men’s, etc.
In her opening presentation , she emphasized that the gathering is not only about ‘celebration, but to reflect, collect, and to take decisive actions towards accelerating the growth of women in business’. This is in alignment to the theme of this year celebration which state as, ‘ACCELERATING GROWTH TO EMPOWER WOMEN AND EXPAND MARKET’.
Hon. Ansei reiterate that is not enough to recognise and support women in entrepreneurship space, but to equipped them with resources, needed logistics, opportunities to thrive in a competitive market, in both local and beyond.

She used the opportunity also to commend one of the major sponsorship partners, the ‘mastercraft foundation’, and appeal for the gathering to hail applaud for the sponsor’s.
The chief executive officer lamented on a restricted environment on sustainable and profitable market. So business in the box dubbed ‘BixBox’, is introduced by Ghana Enterprises Agency (G. E. A), which allows only made in Ghana products to be sold at the Ghana mall.
Access to finance remain another challenge for women entrepreneurs. So G. E. A., strategically led women in SME’s to attract some grants and loans to expand their market base. But as these is not enough to sustain their businesses , G. E. A., fully welcome and support the promised made by the President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the Vice Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, to establish the ‘women Bank’.
The C. E. O. also appeal to the women policy makers to enact a strong regulatory framework which is to promote easier formalization processes to assist women enterprnuers to access financial facilities.
To all the corporate and development partners. Your continued support and skill development, funding, Technology integration, and market access, is essential to scalling the impact of GEA functions.
Hon. Margaret Ansei, continue to encourage all entrepreneur women to rise and position their businesses for both national and global access. The G. E. A. is available with all the staffs to support the growth of all businesses, but For success, also require mindset of growth and resilient.
In her conclusion, she admonished all the gathering to be cautious that, as the celebration of world women day 2025 proceeds. All and sundry should move away from words and accelerate real measurable impacts.
Ghana should be built in environment where women are not just participants in the economy, but leaders contributing to the growth of the economy.
When women succeed, families prosper, communities flourish, and Ghana thrives. Let us accelerate growth because the time is now.
