John Kwame Duodu, popularly known as Sir John, who serves as the First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency and also the Ashanti Regional TESCON Patron, has made a passionate appeal to all NPP members and sympathizers to remain calm, united, and focused as the party navigates through the challenges of post-election 2024 and prepare for a sure victory in 2028.
Speaking on recent developments within the Party, Sir John emphasized the need for collective efforts, stressing that ‘every member is crucial in ensuring victory in the next political contest.
He acknowledged that some individuals and party leaders may have acted in ways that displeased others, he urged every executive supporter to prioritize the Party’s interests over personal grievances.
Citing the recent public expressions of frustration and supposed victimisation by Hon. Adwoa Safo, the former Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Sir John pleaded with the former MP of Dome-Kwabenya to exercise patience and remain committed to the Party’s cause.
He further advised the youth of the party to be cautious about taking sides in internal disagreements, reminding them that unity is key in putting the Party on the path of victory ahead of 2028.
“We will soon be engaging in a major political battle with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and we need every single member onboard,” he stated.
“Now is not the time for division. Let us keep our eyes on the ball and work together to protect and strengthen the Mother Elephant”, Sir John opined.
Sir John’s call for unity comes at a crucial time when tensions are rising within the party. His message serves as a reminder that, despite internal challenges, the ultimate focus of every party executive and supporter should be to secure victory for the NPP in 2028.
