3 Killed As Armed Robbers Engage Miners In Gun Battle At Adaboi [ audio + photos]

Three (3) person’s has been shot dead as suspected armed robbers attacked and exchange fire with Small scale miners who were returning from their mining site at Adaboi in upper Denkyira west district of the Central region.
 
One of the survivors of the incident, Kwabena Badu told the police that he was driving a Lincoln Navigator with registration number GR 6113 – 12 and onboard were eight persons miners who were travelling with him from Denkyira Adaboi to Dunkwa on Offin
 

But on reaching a section of the road between Denkyira Nkroful and Treposu junction three armed men emerged from the bush wielding AK 47 rifles and pump-action guns fired on miners and they also opened fire on the armed robbers.

Two of the miners died on the spot and two others sustained various degrees of gunshot injuries.

one of the armed robbers yet to be identified also died.  there were stains of blood in the car and gunshots on the car and on the scene of the crime.

The three bodies has been deposited at the Dunkwa On – Offin government hospital morgue awaiting for autopsy report whiles the police also doing investigation in the matter.
According to the district police commander,ASP. Ernest Agyakum when granted an interview with peace Fm senior news reporter Teacher Korsah said, the incident happened around 8:30pm on Friday’s night,  November 12, 2021 where two (2) persons were killed on the spot including an “OKADA” motor bike rider.
