The Medical Team Member of the New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region, Patron of the NPP Crusaders, and native of Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, John Kwame Duodu (Sir John) has advised the youth to build on the foundation laid by their forefathers by exerting maximum effort to consolidate the nation’s gains.
The present generation can only build on the foundation laid by the forefathers if we make our maximum efforts to consolidate the gains for an enduring legacy for the next generation.
Sir John stressed the need for all Ghanaians to come together and work towards the progress, growth and development of the nation since it was the civic responsibility of citizens to work towards the building of the country, as was done by the forefathers of the country.
The Atwima Nwabiagya south constituency’s 1st vice chairman aspirant indicated that it was time for Ghanaians to rededicate themselves and show the commitment, dedication, determination, hard work, patriotism, and honesty needed to rebuild the nation.
The country is endowed with many natural resources and human resources and talents capable of transforming the resources to improve the livelihoods of the people. What is needed is for the people to eschew laziness, backbiting, a “pull him down” attitude, selfishness, and corruption so as to be able to harness the resources to position the country on the path of progress, growth, and development.
Sir John noted that the present generation must rise to their civic responsibilities by honouring their tax obligations and showing patriotism towards national property while taking part in national discourse in a dispassionate manner.
He called for the equitable distribution of national resources and opportunities, proper management of resources, diligent, efficient, and effective execution of tasks, as well as proper care and maintenance of public property at all times.
He needed by saying “‘ we should be citizens not spectators” us quoted by HIS EXCELLENCY NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFFO-ADDO and others in their speeches.
