My Ghana Media online has gathered that, there was big jubilation at the studios of Sweet FM, a local based radio station in Kumasi on Monday 1st February,2021, after its News Anchor and Morning show producer Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah officially presented his award to the management of the station.
Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah who has so far worked as radio Newscaster at GN Radio – Ahoto FM, Enfrans Radio, and currently Sweet FM was on Saturday 30th January ,2021 adjudged the Best Youth Radio Presenter for Nkay Event Management dedicated Programmes of the year 2020.
The Maiden Youth Awards Ghana (YGA2020) held at Adum – SSINT Conference hall was attended by high profile personalities including; Francis Addai-Nimoh who is the former member of parliament for Mampong and 2014 NPP Presidential Candidate Aspirant, Francis Owusu-Akyaw minerals Consultant, top politicians, Businessmen/women among others. Youth Awards Ghana is an award scheme that seek to celebrate and reward the hard-working youth personalities, through competition and recognition of excellence at training stage.
On behalf of the management and staffs of Iron Multimedia’s Sweet FM, Mr Alexander Addai who is the programmes Manager and the morning show host congratulated Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah for making the station proud.
According to him, he was not much surprised about the award because Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah is very committed and dedicated to his work.
He encouraged him (Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah) not to relent on his efforts but continue to work extra hard for more awards.
In his short remarks, Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah thanks the Almighty God for the honour done him.He commended the organizers of the awards, management and staff of Sweet FM, among others stakeholders for their support.He said the award apart from serving as a motivation also challenges him to work extra hard.
Hon Francis Addai-Nimoh, Mr Francis Owusu-Akyaw and Mr Kwabena Frimpong was also honoured by the Organisers of Youth Awards Ghana for their role in championing the course of the Youth throw Support and encouragement.
The chief executive officer of the Event Management, Christopher Frimpong explain that ” the main idea behind the awards doesn’t seek to promote competition, instead, encourage the valiant youth.
