Let’s Stay Calm And Focused – Majority Leader Admonishes NPP Delegates

The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has admonished the New Patriotic Party delegates casting their votes to elect Executives for various Constituencies, across the country, to stay calm, and remain focused, whilst exercising their franchise.

The Suame Legislator cautioned delegates against any divisive tendencies that may thwart the New Patriotic Party’s effort to break the 8year conventional change pattern that is becoming a part of our political dispensation under the Fourth Republic.

He emphasized that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia led government has the magical wand to turn the tables around if the delegates can sacrifice to avoid internal rancour, which may create apathy amongst ourselves.

He said ‘The current economic hardships being witnessed as a result of the covid-19 pandemic, couple with adverse effect of the Russia/Ukraine war, expects the grassroots to stay united and focused behind the government in all of its endeavors to turn our economy back to the glorious days of 2017 and 2019. This is unavoidable if our party really wants to achieve its objective of staying in government beyond the 8year jinx.’

Therefore, he called on all delegates to eschew hatred and avoid any unlawful acts that may thwart the NPP’s effort to win power in 2024.

The Majority Leader wished all delegates well in their genuine desire to serve the great Dankwah-Busia-Dombo traditions, and advised that ‘a lost or win for any contestant must not mark the beginning of our end. But, rather, a rejuvenated force to safeguard the economic gains made by this government for motherland, Ghana.’
