Award-winning Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, has launched his campaign for the NDC primaries in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

The celebrity cum politician made this known on Sunday, through a publicised artwork in which he announced his ‘second coming’.

Speaking in an earlier interaction, the actor said he had been engaging the party’s delegates and other stakeholders about his ambition.

According to him, his priority is to engage party delegates before going to formally announce his candidature.

Declaring his interest in a Facebook post on Sunday, he said his decision follows “extensive consultation” with God, family and party faithful in the constituency.

In 2020, John Dumelo contested the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat against the NPP’s Lydia Alhassan.
