Medeama SC’s title hopes was dented once again by Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Kronmansah Park on Sunday afternoon.

A second half strike from Nana Kwame Junior was enough to propel Nsoatreman FC to victory over the Yellow and Mauves lads in the Ghana Premier League match-week 29 clash.

Nsoatreman FC maintained impressive home record in their debut Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win over the two-time FA Cup champions.

The first half of the game ended in a scoreless draw with Medeama SC enjoying majority of the possession but they were unlucky upfront. Goalkeeper Daniel Afadzwu denied them from causing any havoc to the homesters.

After lack of goals in the first half, Nana Kwame Junior pounced on a free-kick delivered into the box of Medeama by Emmanuel Kotei on the 53rd minute.

Medeama SC nearly got the leveller through Jonathan Sowah on the 77th minute but a sparkling save from Afadzwu denied him from registering his name on the score sheet..

Talented winger Stephen Diyou could have hit the final nail at the coffin in the 81st minute but his strike went straight into the woodwork.

Medeama SC couldn’t make their chances count in the dying embers as the fixture ended in a 1-0 win for Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Kronmansah Park.

Nsoatreman FC have climbed up to 13th position with 39 points while Medeama SC occupies third place with 47 points after twenty-nine games in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
