The Member of Parliament for Asene-Manso-Akroso, Mr. George Aboagye, popularly known as Oluwa, donated medical equipment to health facilities in his constituency on Thursday, August 24.
55th BIRTHDAY
The gift was given in honor of his 55th birthday.
On Thursday, August 24, Mr. George Aboagye, who also serves as the vice chair of the Land and Forestry Committee in Parliament, turned 55.
The legislator had dinner with nearly a thousand individuals.
Among the dignitaries present at the ceremony were the Akyem Mansohene and Benkumhene of the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, Obrempong Sintim Poku II, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Akim Oda Constituency, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, the MP for the Achiase Constituency, Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo, the Eastern Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jeff Konadu Addo, the Eastern Regional Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Evans Osei Yeboah, and other regional and constituency executives.
Speaking during the celebration of his birthday, which was held at his premises at Akyem Manso, Hon. George Kwame Aboagye said, “Fifty-six (56) years is a milestone, and I cherish this day so much in my life. I therefore made the decision to rejoice with my constituents today’.

The assorted medical equipment includes hospital medical beds, digital scanner machines, mattresses, vaccine fridges, kidney dishes in all sizes, toddler scale Machine, galipots in all sizes, stethoscope adults, examination beds, salter scales, glucometer safes, glucometer strips, blood lancets, ward screens, BP apparatus (digital), sphygmomanometers, boxes of J.Biney disinfectants and soaps, and laboratory refrigerators.
Asene-Manso-Akroso Lawmaker presented the items to The A.M.A Health Director.
The items, worth five hundred thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢500,000), are to be distributed to other health centers in the district.
While donating the products, the Asene Manso Akroso lawmaker stated that he would do everything within his power to guarantee that the number of health-related problems in the Asene Manso Akroso constituency are significantly reduced.
Although he is not a member of the health committee, he told the Daily Searchlight that he has always had the intention of making provisions for the health sector
He indicated that he decided to donate to health facilities in the district on his birthday to upgrade their service in the various communities within his jurisdiction.
According to him, Mr. Ekow Essel, the director of Greenland Supplies Limited, and Mr. J. A. Biney of J.A. Biney Company Ltd. assisted him in making the donation.
Mr. George Aboagye encouraged the district health director to develop a maintenance-oriented mindset to make sure that the objects will last and fulfill their intended functions.

The Eastern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Jef Konadu Addo, praised the MP for everything that he has accomplished for the constituency during his speech.

He said he was really proud of the initiatives taken by Hon. George Kwame Aboagye to prioritize his constituency, particularly in terms of health because “health is wealth.”
He exhorted all regional MPs to follow the example of Hon. George Kwame Aboagye and provide their constituents with the same services.
As they collectively seek to improve the delivery of healthcare in the constituency, Hon. Jef Konadu Addo urged the medical community to be passionate about their work.
HEALTH DIRECTORATE
Receiving the medical items, the Health Director of the Asene Manso Akroso, Nana Asor Holye Boateng, expressed gratitude to the MP for showing much concern for the health status within the constituency and promised to put them to judicious use
She asked for more of such gestures.
She then listed some of the difficulties they are having, such as the absence of computers to save patient data at different health centers, and begged the authorities and NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) to help.
