Ghana forward Jordan Ayew saw red in Crystal Palace’s 1-2 loss to Liverpool in an English Premier League early kick off tie at the Selhurst Park.

Ayew was sent off in the 75th minute after picking up a second yellow card for fouling Liverpool’s Harvey Elliot.

Ayew was booked the first time in the 60th minute for preventing Liverpool from taking a free kick.

His exit came at a time Palace led 1-0 but Liverpool equalized via a deflected Mohammed Salah shot just a minute after Jordan got sent off.

Harvey Elliot, the player Jordan Ayew fouled that led to the latter’s dismissal, went on to score Liverpool’s winner and send the Reds to the top of the league standings at the time of writing.

During his time on the pitch, Jordan Ayew created one big chance and won eight of 13 ground duels while completing five of eight accurate passes.

Exactly a fortnight ago, Jordan’s brother Andre Ayew also saw red as his debut for French Ligue 1 side Le Havre ended abruptly after just two minutes for stomping on an opponent. (Click highlighte dtext to read full story)
