DVLA Releases 2025 DV Plate With Enhanced Security Features

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has released 2025 DV plate to all its operational offices across the country.

The DV plate is embedded with enhanced security features, as part of the Authority’s efforts to ensure vehicle registration and licensing in the country.

The enhanced security features, which are designed to prevent counterfeiting and ensure the authenticity of the plate, include holograms, watermarks, QR code among others.

“We are excited to introduce the 2025 DV plate, which represents a significant improvement in vehicle registration and licensing in Ghana. The new plate demonstrates the Authority’s commitment to leverage on technology to enhance security and convenience for its customers.” says the Chief Executive, Julius Neequaye Kotey.Authentic Ghanaian cuisine recipes

The 2025 DV plate will be available at all DVLA offices nationwide starting today, 30th January, 2025. Vehicle owners, automobile dealers, distributors, freight forwarders and agents can acquire the plate at any of our operational offices across the country.

The Authority is working with the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service to apprehend anybody who uses or engages in the trade of counterfeit (unauthorised) DV plate.
