President John Dramani Mahama has repeated his comment that the Free Senior High School programme will not be cancelled.

Rather, he said, his administration will improve on the programme.

Delivering the State of the Nation Address (SONA) in parliament on Thursday, February 27, he said the way and manner the programme was implemented left much to be desired.

“I John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, will not cancel the free SHS programme,” he said.

Mr Mahama earlier gave the assurance during the 2024 election campaign seasons that he would not cancel the programme.
