Member of parliament for Ejisu constituency , who doubled to be deputy finaced minister designate Honourable Lawyer John Ampotuah Kumah on sunday 23rd May commissioned a bridge on the Saaman River. The bridge collapsed 53 years and had seen no rehabilitation works until John Kumah was elected as MP.
The bridge is expected to connect three communities in the Ejisu Constituency, Adako Jachie, Kokoobra and Okyerekrom, communities that had been greatly affected by the absence of the bridge. The bridge was constructed with 100% support from the private sector.
The bridge deplored since 1968 , there has been a series of governance but none of them made it their priority , but according to Hon. lawyer John kumah, he promised his constituent on that bridge during his campaign and he has to fulfilled it to ease transportation of his constituent.
He debunked that, the road is a short road From Fomesua kyirikrom to Adaquah Jachie, and since the bridge has deplored over years , the constituent of kyirikrom and Jachie were facing difficulties in transportation , there was a need to award it to construct .
Now that it has been successfully constructed , the people of Fomesua kyirikrom can easily travel to Jachie .
Present at the commissioning were Chiefs of the three beneficiary communities, Nana Adako Jachiehene,Nana Kokoobrahene, Nana Okyerekromhene and people from beneficiary communities.
The acting president for Nsuta traditional council who is also the paramount chief for Jachie Nana Osei Bosompem III were in their presence to grace the sod cutting , Nana in his speach expressed his gratitude to the member of parliament for going by his word .
Chief for jachie elaborated that the bridge has damaged for 53 years which was causing difficulties for the residence of jachie and kyirikrom and now that it has been constructed it will foster fast transportation and the two towns will develop vivid friendship.
Aside that the chief for kyirikrom Nana kwaku Okyere Ababio also praised Hon Lawyer John and his governance for their tremendous work to the country .
He urge them to continue their developmental project to mother Ghana.
