*FEAR GRIPS TANOSO-APATRAPA RESIDENTS OVER INCREASED ROBBERY ATTACKS*
Residents of Tanoso-Apatrapa electoral area, a community in the Kwadaso Municipality, are living in fear over increased robbery attacks in the area, with the latest being an attack on a mobile money merchant.
Speaking with the NIMDIE FM’s reporter, k.Dee in an interview, some of the victims who shared their experiences appealed to the Ashanti Regional Police Command to provide security to address the situation.
Nana Yaw Poyona,whose mother is a victim also, narrated that some robbers during the day broke into her house through the window and made away with her flat-screen TV and decoder, when she was away on the market.
He said the robbers carried dangerous weapons during their operations and called on the Police and the Assembly member of the area to provide adequate protection to the people so that they could feel safe to go about their normal duties.
A resident said the situation was not like that until recently, saying that, it was difficult leaving the house due to fear of being attacked by robbers whether during the day or night.
Confirming the incident, HON.COLLINS BOAMAH addressed that his electorates,have raised the alarm that they were living in a state of insecurity and fear as armed robbers continued to harass and attack them, using sophisticated means and he therefore seeks for intensify security by taking appropriate steps to intensity patrols, beef up security and protect lives and properties, in the area.
