The Arise for Change for Economic Growth (ACEG), a volunteer political group that backed President John Mahama’s election, has denounced the vandalism and unauthorized takeover of government institutions by some NDC supporters.
In a media engagement at the Freedom Center in Kokomlemle, Accra, ACEG National Chairman D.S. Mahama Iddrisu emphasized that while the group encouraged NDC supporters to take over offices responsibly, vandalism is unacceptable.
Iddrisu disagreed with the Greater Regional Chairman’s call for the arrest of NDC activists, stating that although their approach is wrong, their intention to take over institutions is justified.
Iddrisu urged NDC grassroots to continue taking over institutions, cautioning them against targeting civil servants. He also revealed that some stolen vehicles have been recovered through these operations.
The ACEG chairman attributed the NDC’s victory to the collective efforts of ACEG members and Ghanaians, expressing gratitude for their hard work and support.
