Adansi North District: Residents Of Akrofrom Cries For Gove’t Support As They Lack Development.

Residents and motorists at Akrofrom in the Adansi North district of the Ashanti Region have said they will not vote in the upcoming general elections if the government refuses to attend to their needs over developmental projects.

According to the residents, although the government declared this year as the year of roads, they are yet to enjoy their share of the national cake.

They expressed their dissatisfactions over the way the community is being starved and deprived of development, bad road network, lack of potable water, their school building has becomes a dead trap.

They lamented that, is risky and very stressful comparing the distance involved, “most especially when pregnant women who are in labour at times takes approximately one to two hours before they reach hospital and some of them even end up dying on the way”.

Hence they appeal to the government to put up a CHPS compound in the community  to enable them have asses to quality health care.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Akrofrom, Nana Kwadwo Boakye complained bitterly over   the lack of development in the area, adding that they have become irritated with the manner their community was being denied meaningful infrastructural development.

He therefore calls on Government and it developmental agencies to attend to their needs in developmental projects to make life easier for them.
