Kodie Migistrate Court presided by her lordship Mad.Atta Akosua serwaa has on today Mon,April 26 adjourned the Afigya Kwabre South District Chief Executive, Hon .Christian Adu poku (APC) case to May 10,2021.
Hon.Christian Adu poku recently filed a defamatory case against some residents in the Afigya Kwabre South of the Ashanti region purported to have said some malicious words against him on radio. But on court sitting today her lordship mad Atta Akosua serwaa has adjourned the case to may 10,2021.
Speaking to MyGhanaMedia.com / Akoma FM regional reporter Kwame Yeboa, the former assembly member for kodie electoral area Hon Fokuo Enock who stand in trial before the court Said they are much pleased with the court decision and are pleading to BNI , National Security,to intervene in this matter as the DCE has misappropriated the Assembly Fund.
“The District chief executive (DCE) in his law suit has accused we the residents of insulting him on radio which is never truth and has tagged us as some political party supporters which we are saying it emphatically that it is not truth.
What we are demanding from him is to come and render account for the Good people’s of Afigya Kwabre south District because he has misappropriated the District Assembly Quarry Fund for the past years since appointed in office.
The amount of money he used since his appointment is not logic and we want the Auditor General to intervene into this matter , NPP as the ruling party nearly lost in the Afigya kwabre South because of this DCE because he used Delta forces to beat some NPP supporters in the past 2020 general election.
More than 27,000 electorates didn’t vote in the past election because of what happened and we are saying that NPP executives must listen to party supporters first and take legal action on him before 2024 general elections.NDC as opposition party got 16,000 which PNC got over 1,000 votes which had not happened for the past years ..so we forsee the NPP party shaking in the Afigya kwabre South Constituency.
Meanwhile Scores of Residents who were in court today are pleading to the president to as matter of urgency remove DCE Hon. Christian Adu poku for his poor performance in the District.
According to them, they are pleading to the president of the land His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo not to reappoint the DCE because he is a disrespectful, Arrogant, and has performed poorly in the District.
“He is using some invisible forces to intimate we the residents in our various homes.
