AHENKAN 93.3 FM to host the first edition of “Senior High schools cooking competition” [ASHSCOCOM 2021] and other activities as part of their one-year anniversary which is to come off at the Akim Aboabo durbar grounds in the Birim Central Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region of Ghana on the 30th October, 2021.
The CEO, Odiahenkan Kwame Yeboah being the head of the team, The General Manager popularly known as Apozy in charge of supervision, Mr. Oboba, the head of event and planning in charge the event and many others playing the roles of helping the program to be successful. the main focus and aim of this program planned by the team of Ahenkan FM is to entertain and to educate.
Notwithstanding, the event would begin at exactly 10o’clock in the morning and would end at 6o’clock in the evening(pm). The Ahenkan Senior High School Cooking Competition seeks to help build the confidence of the Home Economics Department of Senior High Schools in the Birim Central Municipalities and its enclaves.
In as much as the Ahenkan FM team has shown greater interest in the improvement of the education system of Birim Central Municipalities and it surroundings, they do not relax after many achievements like the building of a computer laboratory for the Akim Aboabo Primary School but rather continuous to push forward and create as well as establish more avenues and educative programs and event to help build education. Indeed, the drive to greater achievement is a virtue and an ethic not forgotten by the Ahenkan FM team.
Some dignitaries expected to grace the occasion are, the Member of Parliament for the Birim Central Municipal Assembly, Honorable Alexander Akwasi Aqcuah ,Honorable Victoria Adu, MCE for Birim Central Municipal Assembly , Honorable Alex Inkoom, ECE- AMA, Honorable Asare Danso, ECE- Birim South, Honorable Paul Asamoah, DCE- Akyem Mansa, Honorable Richard Kofi Amponsah, DCE- Achiase, and most importantly, the Deputy Minister for Education, Honorable Gifty Tum-Ampofo is the special guest of honor to grace the event.
Not only will the event be grace by members of parliament, DCEs, ECEs and Ministers but also, some honorable chiefs and heads of the Kotoku Traditional Council/Area such as, Obrempong Sintim Opoku Ⅲ, Akyem Manso Chief and Benkum-Hene for the Kotoku Traditional Area, Nana Kwabena Ofori Ⅱ, Akyem Akroso Chief will also be there to grace the event. Also, the Akyem Aboabo Kronti-Hene, Nana Adomako Ankomah and the Queen of the Akyem Aboabo Traditional Area, Nana Owusua Akoto Ⅳ will be present at the event to receive the visiting dignitaries and chiefs as tradition demands.
Not forgetting the participating schools in the Ahenkan FM Cooking Competition. The school who accepted the invitation to join the upcoming competition are; Youth in Leadership and Skills Training Institute (Akyem Takrase), Oda Senior High School (Akyem Oda), Atweaman Senior High School (Akyem- Manso), Attafuah Senior High School (Akyem- Oda), Akroso Senior High School (Akyem-Akroso), Vision Vocational Institute (Akyem- Aboabo), Salvation Army Senior High School (Akyem- Wenchi), and Achiase Senior High School (Akyem-Achiase), who wins ASHSCOCOM 2021! These schools would be competing for the award of the day which would be a lot, the question remains which school is the best in terms of cooking the Ghanaian local dish in the Birim central and its surroundings.
The masters of the ceremony (MCs) are, Head of event and planning, Mr. Oboba Ofori Amanfo, Host of Ahenkan 93.3 FM Maakye show, Afia Amopofowaa, the News Editor and The Perfect Gentleman of Ahenkan FM Kwabena Costy, Host of Adwuma Adwuma Mid-Morning Show, and the CEO of Ahenkan 93.3 FM Odiahenkan Kwame Yeboah.
The program will be streamed live on Facebook and YouTube at Ahenkan 93.3 FM. As the preparation for the Ahenkan SHS Cooking Competition is ongoing, the team hopes to have a successful program. This is also an avenue to exhibit and promote the teaching and practice of our made in Ghana foods.
