The youth of Akyem Anamase have also expressed concerns about the potential consequences of inaction, emphasizing the need for the police to take proactive measures to prevent any violence or unrest.

Reiterating His Legitimacy
Obrempong Ayim Mmonsam III takes a bold step to assert his legitimacy as the gazetted chief of Anamase. He presented documents as evidence of his rightful position, which has been recognized by the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs and the High Court.
The chief’s action is essential to preserving peace and order in the area, specifically in light of the recent catastrophic incident which happened on March 6, 2025, when ten individuals suffered fatal injuries during the enthronement ceremony of one Nana Akwasi Awuah III and Madam Akua Effah as chief and queen mother.
Obrempong Ayim Mmonsam III has urged residents not to recognize anyone else as the chief of Anamase, emphasizing his gazetted status.
According to him, this appeal is particularly significant, given the tensions surrounding the chieftaincy dispute in the community.
Additionally, he urges his opponent to follow the proper procedures or let the law make the ultimate determination, but not in a manner that is abusive.
